Sports bra: racerback, open back or seamless?
A sports bra has to stay put while you move. Everything else comes after that: the back, the colour, how it looks under an open jacket. Several of our tops have the bra function built in, and they differ more in the back than in the fabric.
What sets a sports bra apart from a training top?
The line is soft. The tops are worn on their own and cut to stay in place through the whole session, so the difference is coverage rather than support. Want more fabric across the stomach, choose a longer style from crop tops and sports tops. Want less, choose a shorter one.
Which back should you choose?
The racerback is narrow and leaves the shoulders free. It gathers the fabric at the centre of the back, and your arms go overhead without anything pulling. W-Sport Top Gold and W-Sport Top Silver have it, with metal details that follow the Iconic line.
The open back gives the same freedom with more skin and more air. Lux Crop Top Black/White/Gold has an open back and an opaque fabric, which means it can be worn with nothing underneath.
Do you need padding?
The padding is removable in both W-Sport Top and Lux Crop Top. You decide the shape yourself instead of letting the garment decide it for you. Take it out for a heavy session, leave it in when the top is worn alone under an open shirt.
Do seamless tops fit differently?
They do. Seamless means the top wraps the body without hard seam edges. It sits close to the skin and follows the movement instead of resisting it. Seamless Spirit Top Fawn Brown and Seamless Camou Top Mint have the bra function built in, are moisture wicking and quick drying. One thing to know before you order: the seamless tops run small. Take one size up.
What do you wear it with?
The matching leggings are the easy answer, and the whole thing holds together without any thought. On their own they work just as well: the black top with any colour, the seamless one in fawn or mint with black. The full range sits under training tops, seamless and all activewear.
