Garment Care Guide
Wallderinska care guide
Why garment care matters
When you invest in our pieces, the right care is essential for them to last and look new year after year. The label carries the care advice our fabric suppliers recommend. Always check the label first.
Machine wash
Our fibres are designed for maximum comfort and should be washed inside out, at 30 °C, with a small amount of mild detergent. A lower temperature saves energy and preserves the technical properties of the piece.
Wash inside out with zippers closed. Wash with similar colours. Pieces with metallic details should be washed in a laundry bag. Do not use fabric softener. Do not bleach. Do not iron. Do not tumble dry.
Delicate fabrics
The Edge Gold Button Sweater and the Edge Gold Button Pants are made in a modal fabric. It sits smooth against the skin and is more delicate than our performance fabrics, so it asks for a little more.
Wash at 30 °C on a delicate, wool or other gentle programme. Turn the piece inside out, ideally in a laundry bag. Hang to dry. Never a tumble dryer, the fabric pills straight away. Do not use fabric softener.
The fabric does not take abrasion. A bag worn across the body, rubbing in the same place, can cause pilling over time. Change shoulder, or carry the bag in your hand when you wear the pieces for long.
The gold buttons sit at the shoulder of the sweater and at both side pockets of the trousers. They are metal, so always put the pieces in a laundry bag so the buttons do not rub against anything else in the drum.
Hand wash
Always check the label in the piece first. Some materials, such as faux leather, are best hand washed. Fill a clean bucket with cold water and add a little mild detergent. Turn the piece inside out and move it gently for a few minutes. Rinse with clean cold water. Lay the piece on a clean towel and gently press out excess water. Do not wring or pull the piece.
Drying
Our pieces dry quickly. All fabrics are sensitive to high temperatures, so do not tumble dry. Prints, metal-coloured zippers and other details are damaged by heat and wear. Always air dry in the shade, either hanging or laid flat on a towel.
