Women's hoodie: the one you keep on after training

The hoodie is what you pull on when the session ends, and then keep on. It has to take being worn often, washed often, and still look like it did on day one. That comes down to the weight of the fabric, the inside against your skin and how the details are sewn.

What makes a hoodie worth wearing often?

The thickness and the inside. The Deluxe Hoodie is made in a thick material with a brushed inside that keeps the warmth close to the body. The hood is lined and has a drawstring, the front pocket is large, and the chest embroidery is hard wearing and keeps its intensity wash after wash. White or red?

Deluxe Hoodie White carries the gold and deep red embroidery on the chest and goes with the Deluxe Joggers in white for one clean look. Deluxe Hoodie Red has the same construction in a colour that shows, and the red keeps its depth over time. The red one is true to size and shrinks slightly in the wash.

Hoodie or half zip?

The hood warms and gives you somewhere to retreat. The zip regulates instead: up when it is cold, down when you heat up. Edge Cozy Half Zip Sweater is made in 95 per cent cotton and 5 per cent spandex, with a brushed inside, a high collar and a gold half zip. How do you wash it?

The Edge sweaters are washed inside out, in a laundry bag, at no more than 40 degrees, and dried flat or hung. The Deluxe Hoodie is hung to dry too: the red shrinks slightly in the wash, and the embroidery is happier without a tumble dryer. More in the garment care guide.
