Tennis skirt and padel skirt: the skirt with shorts and pockets for the balls

A sports skirt has three jobs. It should stay put when you reach for the ball, it should have somewhere to put the second ball, and it should look like a skirt and not like a compromise. We make two: one white and one black. Here is the difference, and what to wear with them.

What should a tennis skirt have?

Built-in shorts, so you can reach and sit without thinking about it. Pockets on the shorts, on both sides, each holding a ball. And a high waist that holds in and stays in place when the body twists. The skirt on the outside is welcome to move. It is the shorts that should stay still.

White or black?

Slimline White Court Skirt is the white one. Built-in shorts with pockets on both sides, a high elastic waist that keeps the stomach in place, black contrast panels at the sides that define the silhouette and gold piping along the edges. Polyester fabric with four-way stretch. White is the colour of the court, and it works just as well on the golf course.

Goldline Black Elite Skirt is the black one. Same construction: built-in shorts, pockets on both legs for balls, phone or cards, a high sculpted waist with elastic band. The gold piping along the edges sets the Goldline tone. Black is the skirt for you who play padel in the evening and go straight on.

What do you wear with the skirt?

With the white: Slimline Training Jacket over a black or white tank, and W-Crew Sock White in the shoes. Does the skirt stay put during the match?

It is the waist that decides, not the skirt. Both styles have a high waist that holds in, and that is what should take the movement when you reach. The shorts underneath follow. The skirt on the outside falls back into place.

Can the skirt be worn off the court?

Yes, and that is half the point. With a thin knitted jumper and white sneakers the white skirt is a summer look. The black one with a black top and a thin jacket is an evening in town. The pockets hold the phone, so the bag can stay at home.

Which size should you choose?

Your usual. The waist is elastic and the shorts sit close to the body without pulling. Slimline White comes in XS to XL, Goldline Black in S and L.
