Premium activewear for women with form and function

Premium activewear for women begins in the construction. The waistband stays where you pulled it up. The seam does not chafe on the thirtieth repetition. The colour looks the same after twenty washes. These are concrete things, and they decide whether the garment is still in your wardrobe in two years.

We create garments for women who move a lot in the course of a day. The gym in the morning, the working day, the walk home, the bag packed on Thursday. The demands do not drop because the activity changes name. They just look different.

Construction decides more than fabric

A soft fabric says little about how a garment behaves in motion. What matters sits in the pattern: where the seams run, how the panels are shaped, how the waistband is sewn together. A high waist does not hold because it is high. It holds because it is contour-sewn, made from several pieces that follow the curve of the body instead of lying straight around it.

The difference shows in a squat. A straight waistband folds forward when the hip tilts. A contour-sewn waistband follows. Same fabric, same elastane, same price on the fabric roll. The result on the body is another matter.

The same goes for seam placement. Seams on the inside of the thigh wear faster than seams running along the side of the leg. A pair of high-waisted training tights with the seams placed at the sides therefore lasts longer, without the fabric needing to be thicker.

Tights that handle the session and the rest of the day

The tights are usually the base garment. They need to hold through strength work, mobility and a long walk, and they need to look intentional when you pick up the children or step into a café.

Two qualities make the biggest difference there. The first is that the fabric is squat proof, meaning it does not turn see-through when stretched over the thigh. The second is the surface. A matte surface reads as clothing. A shiny surface reads as equipment.

Slimline FlexFlow Träningstights Svart/Guld are sewn in 78 percent recycled polyester of the ECO Circle type and 22 percent elastane. The high waistband is contour-sewn and holds you in without pressing. Along the leg runs a gold-coloured piping that gives the line direction without making the garment loud. They are squat proof, moisture-wicking and quick-drying, and they stay in place through the session.

You can run the test yourself. Stand in front of a mirror in daylight and drop into a deep squat. If you can see your underwear through the fabric, it is too thin, or stretched too hard over the thigh. A pair that passes in the fitting room usually passes after a year as well, provided the knit is dense from the start.

The jacket sets the tone for the whole set

The tights get the attention, but the jacket decides how the whole is read. A jacket that falls straight down makes the silhouette wider. A jacket with a defined waist makes it longer.

Iconic Träningsjacka G2 is sewn around exactly that contrast. A wide elastic hem at the waist shapes the lower back and waist and stays put whatever the activity. The rest of the jacket falls loosely over the torso. The fabric is ECO Circle, almost entirely recycled polyester, moisture-wicking and quick-drying. The zips are custom-made with the Iconic collection's signature pattern in black and gold, placed at the sides, where you also find zipped pockets.

More styles are in women's training jackets. Always try it on with your arms stretched above your head. A jacket that rides up at the back when you reach is too short in the torso, whatever the size label says.

Sleeve length is the other detail that often goes unnoticed. A sleeve that ends right at the wrist looks correct when the arms hang straight, but creeps up as soon as you grip a bar or reach for a shelf. A couple of extra centimetres solve it, and they do not show.

Materials, and what can actually be promised

Recycled polyester is a real thing, but it does not apply to everything we sell. We would rather spell out where the line runs.

The training garments in the Edge and Slimline series are sewn in 78 percent recycled polyester of the ECO Circle type and 22 percent elastane. So is Iconic Träningsjacka G2, in an ECO Circle fabric that is almost entirely recycled. Casual Zip Set is something else: 77 percent polyester and 23 percent spandex, micro-brushed with four-way stretch and gold-coloured zips. It is not recycled material, and we do not call it that.

The longest life still comes from how the garment is cared for. Wash at thirty degrees with similar colours. Skip the fabric softener, which settles like a film over the elastic fibres and makes the fabric less breathable. Air dry. A pair of tights treated that way keeps its shape for years instead of a season.

From gym to street without changing

A training set where jacket and tights are put together to be worn together solves the morning. The colour tone matches, the proportions are balanced, and you avoid making a decision before coffee.

Split up, the set becomes more useful. The tights under an oversized knit. The jacket over a tank top and straight jeans. The same two garments cover four occasions instead of one. That is where a wardrobe of few pieces starts working properly.

Keep the colour range narrow. Black, dark grey, deep neutral tones. They go together without you having to think about it, and they age more slowly to the eye than a seasonal colour does.

Frequently asked questions

What separates premium activewear from ordinary training clothes?

The pattern construction and the fabric's recovery. A garment in that class is sewn from more pieces, with seams placed to follow the body's movement, and in a fabric that returns to its shape after being stretched. The difference is rarely visible in the shop. It shows after thirty washes.

Can you train in the garments and then wear them through the day?

Yes, if the surface is matte and the silhouette is clean. Slimline FlexFlow works under a long shirt or a knit. Iconic Träningsjacka G2 works over a tank top and a pair of straight jeans. Casual Zip Set is designed for everyday wear from the start.

How do you know the size is right?

Do three squats in the fitting room. If the waistband stays put, the size is right. If it rolls down, it is too big. If it digs in while you stand still, it is too small. The number on the label says less than how the garment behaves in motion.

Anything but ordinary.
